As of today (1st), a special law for the support of victims of charter fraud came into effect, and the 'Charter Fraud Victim Support Committee' was launched to determine the victims of charter fraud.

The Victim Assistance Committee held its first committee meeting this afternoon after the inauguration ceremony at the Seoul Regional Headquarters of the Korea Land and Housing Corporation.

The committee discussed the guidelines for the deliberation of victims of charter fraud and requested cooperation in suspending and suspending auctions and public auctions for tenants who are unable to wait for the commission's recognition of victims of charter fraud due to the imminent deadline for auctions and public auctions.

The committee consisted of 1 members, including legal experts, experts in the field of housing leasing, and officials from relevant ministries, and was chaired by former Seoul High Court Chief Justice Choi Wan-joo.

Tenants who need special legal assistance must apply to the city or province where they live to determine whether they are a victim of charter fraud.

Each city or province completes the investigation within 30 days and passes the results to the Ministry of Land.

The Ministry of Land Affairs shall compile the results of the investigation and submit a proposal to the committee, and the committee shall decide whether to recognize the damage within 30 days of the proposal.

In case of unavoidable circumstances, the decision can be extended once within 30 days, and it takes up to 15 days for the victim to be recognized.

If you are not recognized as a victim, you have 75 days from the date of service of the decision to file an appeal with the Department of Homeland Security.

The Commission shall issue a reconsideration within 30 days of receipt of the objection.

If you are recognized as a victim through these procedures, you must apply directly to the relevant agencies such as the court (preferential purchase right), LH (purchase lease), and Housing and Urban Guarantee Corporation (auction and public sale agency support).

The committee plans to hold a second committee meeting in the second week of July to deliberate and vote on the issue of recognizing victims of charter fraud, and it is expected that the first victim recognition case will be released at this time.

The three subcommittees meet on a weekly basis to decide on requests for cooperation on matters that urgently require the suspension or suspension of auctions.
