Hotels offer discounts and incentives to increase occupancy during the "Adha holiday" and summer

Operating hotels in the UAE have introduced offers for the summer period, including Eid Al Adha, to raise occupancy rates, including discounts of up to 20%, 40% on food and beverages, 50% on health clubs, as well as free stays for children, full refund of room reservation fees, use of hotel facilities, early delivery of rooms, and late departure.

Hotel officials told Emirates Today that occupancy is expected to increase by up to 20% during the summer period, compared to last summer, supported by the reservations of citizens and residents, and the increase in the number of travelers from different markets, after the lifting of travel restrictions, and the consolidation of the UAE's position as a preferred destination for travel and tourism, pointing out that the offers will contribute to stimulating demand at great rates during the summer season.

All Inclusive

Osama Sharrouf, Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Jannah Hotels & Resorts, said: "The group has offered offers for breakfast-inclusive accommodation in its hotels in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah during the summer period, until the end of September, starting from AED 225, depending on the emirate, with discounts of up to 40% compared to winter prices, free access to entertainment destinations, in addition to Eid offers starting from AED 375."

Sharrouf added that "occupancy rates are expected to increase during the summer by up to 12%, compared to last summer, supported by the reservations of citizens and residents, and the increase in the number of travelers from different markets to the UAE."

Long stay

The General Manager of Millennium Place Barsha Heights, Glenn Nobbs, said that «the hotel has launched the offer of long stay for fully furnished apartments by booking a three-month stay, obtaining an additional month for free, an instant discount of 12% when booking directly through its website, the possibility of upgrading rooms for free, and late check-out», noting that «offers are valid until the end of August, including the Eid al-Adha period, to increase booking rates during the summer».

"The occupancy rate this summer is expected to increase by up to 8% compared to last year, bringing overall occupancy close to 76% and 80%, after we noticed high rates of reservations for the summer, as a result of the noticeable increase in the number of families planning to travel abroad from different markets," Nobbs explained.

Occupancy rates

The General Manager of the Crowne Plaza Hotels Group, Emad Ramzy, said that «the group has offered offers to increase occupancy rates during the summer period, and attract more guests, starting from 250 dirhams, with discounts of up to 25%, compared to winter prices, as well as free transportation service to some tourist destinations», noting that «summer offers start from mid-June and continue until the beginning of September, and do not include Eid al-Adha, in which the stay starts from 349 dirhams, including breakfast and taxes».

He added that although "many UAE residents travel outside the country during the summer, occupancy at the hotel is witnessing a 20% increase compared to the same period last year, as a result of the increase in visitors from some destinations, especially Asia and Latin America."

Raheel Khan, Director of Sales and Marketing at Anantara Eastern Mangroves Abu Dhabi, said: "The hotel has launched a summer offer that allows guests to refund their room reservation fees in full, and benefit from all the various facilities in the hotel, especially restaurants and cafes, and another offer that includes a four-night stay for three nights only."

Family residence

George Farhat, General Manager of Avani+Palm View Dubai, said that "the hotel has introduced offers for family accommodation to boost occupancy rates in the summer, including a 20% discount on food and beverages, a balance of between 100 and 200 dirhams depending on the reservation to spend on food and drinks as an additional reward, and free tickets to visit parks in Dubai," noting that the offer is valid during Eid al-Adha as well.

Farhat added that "the travel sector returned strongly after the end of (Covid-19), and there was intense competition among hotels to attract guests," noting that occupancy rates in the hotel during the summer are expected to be high, especially with many families from different markets preparing to travel abroad.

Fayek Al Saadani, General Manager of Lapita Dubai Parks and Resorts, said: "The hotel has launched an offer until the end of September that includes free children's accommodation, early room delivery, late departure and tickets to entertainment destinations within Dubai Parks and Resorts," noting that a dedicated offer for Eid al-Adha includes free accommodation for children.

He added that occupancy levels are expected to rise in the summer, especially as Dubai is witnessing a spike in tourist stays from neighboring GCC countries during the summer.

Room rates

Sophie Blundell, General Manager of The H Hotel Dubai, said that "the hotel offered a 20% discount on room rates, with free breakfast, free entry for children during the Eid period, with other discounts on accommodation and food during the summer," noting that Dubai has witnessed a significant increase in the number of tourists coming from outside and inside the country, especially with the recovery witnessed by the travel sector, and Dubai winning the title of the best global destination in the Travelers' Choice Awards 2023 from the website «TRIP». Advisor."

George Al Hawi, Director of Sales and Marketing at Grand Millennium Dubai, said: "The hotel has launched an offer valid from July to September, which includes a 25% discount on food and beverages and some hotel services, a voucher worth AED 100 at the health club, free access to some facilities and late departures."

In the same context, Robert Al-Khouri, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at GA Hotels and Resorts, said that «the summer offers offered during the current season are characterized by diversity to stimulate domestic tourism, and stimulate demand at large rates during that period», pointing out that «offers include price discounts, in addition to returns on reservations in vouchers of different amounts used in hotels».

In turn, the General Manager of Media Rotana Dubai, Sherif Madkour, said that «the hotel management has launched a variety of offers for the summer season, including packages directed to visitors and residents», pointing out that «the most prominent offers include special prices on rooms, where guests can enjoy very discounted prices, in addition to guests getting free breakfast in the hotel's restaurant».

He explained that «offers include giving guests advantages in benefiting from the hotel's recreational facilities, price discounts on meals, and services to give customers the opportunity to explore Dubai's tourist and heritage attractions, by providing access to those areas».

For his part, the General Manager of Centro Barsha Rotana Hotel, Timur Elgaz, said that «the hotel launched summer offers for customers, including packages and breakfasts, free access to recreational, fitness and recreation facilities, in addition to various offers related to recreational activities and facilities available at the hotel».

Ayman Bakoush, Sales Manager at Atlantis Dubai, said: "Summer offers in hotels come within the framework of market competitiveness in the sector, and therefore witness a diversity between hotels according to the marketing policies of each hotel."
