The branch of the General Organization for Trade, Storage and Grain Processing in Tartous Governorate began receiving wheat from farmers in its Annabiya center, south of Tartous.

The director of the institution's branch, Eng. Hassan Suleiman, explained in a statement to SANA correspondent that the institution, after completing all its preparations for the current wheat season, by equipping the Annabia center with all the equipment and laboratory devices and human crew it requires, securing bags and organizing roles, wheat farmers began to flock to the center to deliver their crop, pointing out that in parallel with the receipt process, the stage of preparing purchase lists and sending them to the branches of the Agricultural Bank in various regions of the governorate was started so that farmers can receive the price of wheat within 72 Clock.

In a similar statement, Nadim Alloush, Director of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, a member of the marketing subcommittee for the wheat crop in Tartous, referred to the procedures and measures taken about a month ago before the receipt process through field tours and meetings with farmers and coordination with those concerned with the governorate and the Directorate of Agriculture to overcome all difficulties and obstacles that may hinder the receipt process to ensure its smooth and easy progress.

The Director of the Annabia Center, Eng. Mahmoud Shibli, also indicated that the center receives farmers to deliver wheat from seven in the morning until seven in the evening, noting the measures taken by the center in preparation for receiving the crop related to cleaning and sterilization operations for warehouses and equipping laboratories and captains with securing the working cadres of experts and workers to facilitate the receipt process for farmers, and gave an explanation of the receiving mechanism, which begins with giving pre-delivery roles to prevent congestion and put the quantities received on the captain for each farmer, and take samples from them for analysis. Laboratory needed on them.

A number of farmers expressed their satisfaction with the delivery procedures, which are going well, as Abdullah Darwish and Mufid Ghazi talked about the facilities provided, starting with communicating with them before the harvesting process, securing fuel for harvesters, studies and mechanisms for transporting the crop from the fields to the receiving center with securing bags, in addition to all other procedures accompanying the delivery process at the center, and confirmed that the season is promising for this year in quantity and quality.
