The General Organization for Seed Propagation has identified 10 centers to receive wheat and barley crops, contracted with farmers in the provinces of Deir Ezzor, Aleppo, Hama, Homs, Damascus countryside and Daraa, according to the director of the institution, Engineer Wael Al-Taweel.

In a statement to SANA, Al-Taweel explained that the institution, in addition to the opening of these centers, provided the necessary needs for delivery of new bags of wheat and used barley at a price of 10,5 liras for the new bag and <>,<> for the used bag.

Al-Taweel pointed out that the institution also calibrated the domes and maintained the screening centers, and took all financial measures to ensure the payment of farmers' dues within 48 hours from the date of delivery.

Al-Taweel added: "The Corporation has completed all the necessary procedures and facilities to ensure the receipt of the propagating wheat and barley crops and the implementation of its production plan, noting that the plan for this season includes 70,6 tons of durum and soft wheat seeds, and <>,<> tons of dual and six-grade barley seeds, stressing that the condition of the crop is good and production is abundant.

It is noteworthy that the General Organization for Seed Propagation distributed this season 665 tons of cotton seeds for cultivation in the governorates of Deir Ezzor, Raqqa, Aleppo, Hama and Damascus countryside.
