The Department of Planning and Development (Trakhees), the regulatory arm of Dubai Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, has achieved a remarkable growth during the first quarter of this year, represented by the approval of 423 licenses in the Department's special development zones, a growth rate of 26% compared to the same period in 2022.

Statistics released by Trakhees yesterday showed the completion of more than 12,11 transactions during the first quarter of this year, an increase of <>% compared to the same period last year.

The figures confirmed the growth in the rate of demand for government services transactions, as statistics indicated that 8000,2023 transactions were completed to obtain services for this category during the first three months of 9, a growth rate of 2022% over the same period during <>.

The service of issuing an occupational health card ranked first with a rate of 3314,1796 transactions, while the service of issuing a new work visa was applied for by 689,<> transactions, as well as the service of renewing a work visa by <> transactions.

In terms of local license services provided by the "Trakhees" Department to its customers, the demand for these services increased by 6% to reach 4076 transactions during the first three months of this year, where the local license renewal service ranked first with 1580 transactions, followed by the local license amendment service with 717 transactions.

International City ranked first in the list of locations with local license transactions with 151 licenses, followed by Palm Jumeirah, Jumeirah Village Circle and Dragon Mart.

The total transactions for free zones reached 862 transactions during the first quarter of this year, with a growth rate of 61% compared to the same period last year, while more than 181 new trade names were booked during the first quarter of 2023 in the special development zones that fall under the supervision of the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, a growth of 82% compared to the same period in 2022.
