ADIB launches digital account opening feature for companies
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) has announced the launch of a mobile digital account opening feature for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), which allows them to open a Business Connect account without having to visit any of the bank's branches, submit documents or sign any of them.
Abu Dhabi Islamic has become the first bank in the UAE to offer the remote opening of a digital corporate account, through the use of facial recognition technology, to carry out the verification process immediately and securely, to open new bank accounts for companies in less than 24 hours.
According to the bank, the first phase includes opening the account only for individual owners who hold a commercial company license in Dubai, with the same program being developed for companies located in Abu Dhabi after signing a cooperation agreement with the Department of Economic Development in Abu Dhabi.
Customers will be able to open current accounts for companies in AED after completing the application process digitally using the ADIB Direct Business app.
