On Friday, the head of state will travel to Dunkirk. Not to go and support the employees of the Valdunes factory, threatened with closure, as the RN and LFI did this week, but to talk about reindustrialization and investments.

Emmanuel Macron will spend part of the afternoon in Dunkirk accompanied by five ministers: Bruno le Maire, Minister of the Economy, Gérald Darmanin, Minister of the Interior, Agnès Pannier-Runacher, Minister of Energy Transition, Roland Lescure, Minister of Industry and Olivier Becht, Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade. Beautiful people to present the "strategy to accelerate our reindustrialization ahead of the Choose France summit," says the Elysee.

New investments announced

Reindustrialization and decarbonization, the example of which is that of the Dunkirk Aluminium plant, which the President will visit behind closed doors from 15 p.m. But the Elysée recalls the "efficient industrial ecosystem" of the sector, including 460 companies that concentrate 22% of local employment.

After an exchange with the employees of the Aluminium Dunkirk site, Emmanuel Macron will go to the headquarters of the urban community of Dunkirk, around 17:30 pm, in particular to "formalize new investments for the Dunkirk basin", explains the Elysee.
