Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed briefed on innovative solutions in utilities and energy sector

H.H. Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, attended part of the second edition of the World Utilities Exhibition and Congress, held under the patronage of His Highness and hosted by Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA), at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).

During the visit, His Highness toured the various pavilions of the exhibition and met with a number of companies specialized in the utilities and energy sector, and was briefed on the latest technological means and innovative solutions in electricity generation, transmission and distribution, clean nuclear energy production, water resources management and water desalination projects to support efforts to reduce carbon emissions and achieve climate neutrality goals.

Jassim Hussain Thabet, Group Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of TAQA, said: "This global meeting with our peers is more important than ever as COP28 approaches, bringing together leading players in the various stages of adding value in the utilities sector to address the urgent needs of addressing climate change.

Thabet added: "We believe that this year's edition of the conference will play a pivotal role in enabling industry leaders and policymakers to collaborate and forge more fruitful partnerships."

It is noteworthy that the World Utilities Conference and Exhibition concludes its activities today, during which knowledge and experiences were exchanged and paved the way for important discussions and discussions on the utilities and energy sector, in conjunction with the UAE's preparations to host COP28 this year.

The event attracted energy ministers from around the world, more than 10,1000 industry professionals, 250,150 representatives from participating entities, <> industry leaders and <> exhibiting companies.
