A new salvo of sending the energy check will take place this week. From Tuesday until Friday, new beneficiaries will receive this boost from the government to help them pay their energy bills. The mailing campaign began on April 21, for the first departments.

According to the dispatch schedule published by the authorities, this week the departments concerned are: Isère, Cher, Eure-et-Loir, Indre, Loir-et-Cher, Loiret, Corsica, Guadeloupe, Guyana, Reunion, Bas-Rhin, Paris, Essonne, Hauts-de-Seine, Val-d'Oise, Seine-Saint-Denis, Calvados, Eure, Manche, Orne, Seine-Maritime, Deux-Sèvres, Gironde and Sarthe. The mailing campaign will end on May 30.

From 48 to 277 euros

"The delays between the sending of energy checks, and their receipt at the beneficiary's home are generally between 2 to 4 days," says the government. It should also be noted that "beneficiaries of the energy voucher for previous years who have chosen to automatically allocate their 2023 voucher to a supplier (pre-allocation) will be informed of their benefit to the 2023 energy voucher between 28 April and 6 May, regardless of the beneficiary's department".

In total, 5.8 million households are concerned by this new energy voucher. This aid is means-tested. It is open to households whose reference tax income per consumption unit (one person constitutes 1 unit, the second 0.5 and each additional person 0.3) is less than 11,000 euros in 2021. The amount of this boost varies from 48 to 277 euros. This 2023 energy voucher, automatically sent by post to eligible households, will be valid until 31 March 2024.
