Thirty thousand in Bologna with the secretaries of the three confederal acronyms, Pierpaolo Bombardieri (Uil), Luigi Sbarra (Cisl) and Maurizio Landini (Cgil). The demonstration is organized by the confederal unions in protest against the labor and social policies of the government led by Giorgia Meloni. Both Piazza Maggiore and Piazza del Nettuno are full. The Police Headquarters confirmed the number of participants.

"The country must be united, not divided, a square like this has not been seen for a long time," Landini said from the stage. "It is an insult to be called on Sunday evening to tell us what they want to do - said Landini applauded by the crowd - It is not an insult to the unions but a lack of respect to you workers: it does not work that if you won the elections you can do what you want, it is not democracy. We want to represent everyone, even young and precarious, to give them a future".

Also present were representatives of the center-left parties, including the secretary of the Democratic Party Elly Schlein who was both applauded and contested by some members of the UIL.

"We are at the side of this mobilization on a united platform, we share many of these demands and battles," Schlein said. The labor decree approved by the government on May Day is "a provocation", he reiterated. "A decree that behind the cut to the tax wedge, which is largely insufficient and temporary, not structural, hides rules that produce precariousness".
