Throughout May, the UAE is preparing for a series of prominent international conferences and events amid wide global attendance and participation.

The UAE's busy calendar in May reflects the UAE's advanced position as the first and preferred destination for organizing events of an international nature, while reaffirming the enormous capabilities of the UAE's various cities, and the attractiveness of its tourism sector, thanks to the great experience gained over many years in organizing exhibitions, conferences, meetings and global events.

Abu Dhabi Events

The UAE Climate Technology Forum will be held in Abu Dhabi on May 10 and 11, with the participation of more than 1000,2023 policy makers, CEOs, experts, specialists, technology leaders and investors from around the world, at a time when the "Crisis and Emergency Management Summit <>" will be hosted by the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority, and will discuss the role of the UAE in strengthening international partnerships in emergency, crisis and disaster management, as well as studying the challenges facing the sector.

From May 10 to 2023, the World Utilities Conference, which brings together energy industry leaders to discuss trends and technologies affecting future energy demand, and the Annual Investment Meeting <>, which is being held for the first time in Abu Dhabi and includes activities and events such as the accompanying exhibition and investment roundtables.

The Middle East Rail Expo & Conference 2023 will be held on May 15 and 16, coinciding with the Road and Traffic Show 2023 and the Mobility Life Exhibition, which is being held for the first time in the Middle East.

From May 16 to 18, Abu Dhabi will host the IATA Ground Handling Conference, which is being held for the first time in the UAE and serves as a platform for leaders of the ground handling and aviation sectors.

From May 22 to 28, the world will be on a date with a new edition of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, and the capital Abu Dhabi will witness the Egyptian Super Cup on the fifth of May 2023.

Dubai Events

In Dubai, the Global Women's Summit 2023 will kick off from the fourth and sixth of May for the first time in the summit's 33-year history.

The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), in cooperation with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), will also host the first conference of its kind entitled: "The Future of Aviation Safety and Air Accident Investigations", which will be held between the third and fourth of May 2023.

For its part, the UAE Journalists Association, in cooperation with the Artificial Intelligence Press Foundation, announced the launch of the third edition of the "Global Forum for Artificial Intelligence Journalism", which will be held on the ninth and tenth days of May.

The 30th Arabian Travel Market (ATM), which runs until Thursday, will feature 2000,150 exhibitors from more than <> countries.

Dubai is also witnessing a wide range of festivals this month, including the Dubai Comedy Festival, the Dubai Food Festival, the Disney Princess Concert and other concerts and entertainment events.

To celebrate its 32nd anniversary, the Al Gaffal Long Distance Race will feature more than 100 participants on board mega sailboats on May 20.

Sharjah Activities

In Sharjah, the Sharjah Children's Reading Festival, organized by the Sharjah Book Authority, will receive visitors to its fourth session for 12 days from the third to the 14th of May at Expo Centre Sharjah, with the participation of 141 publishing houses, including 93 Arab publishing houses and 48 foreign publishing houses.

Sharjah Book Authority is also organizing the Sharjah Animation Conference from the third to the fifth of May, for the first time in the region, with the participation of leading illustrators, makers and producers of animation.

Ajman, Fujairah, um Al Quwain and Ras Al Khaimah are also witnessing a number of diverse events this month.
