Mohammed bin Rashid: We aim to reach 40 million tourists within 7 years
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, announced raising the contribution of the tourism sector to the GDP to reach AED 450 billion, saying: "We aim to reach 40 million tourists within seven years and raise the contribution of the tourism sector to the GDP to reach AED 450 billion.
His Highness said in a post via "Twitter": During my tour today at the Arabian Travel Market, which hosts 2,000 tourist destinations from 150 countries around the world, global tourism returned after 3 years of decline. In the UAE, too, the sector has returned strongly ... Tourist spending in 2022 increased by 70% to reach AED 121 billion and lead the region.
He added, "We will continue, God willing, to develop all sectors of our national economy ... Our goal is the best and most active economy in the world.
