Today,
Labor Day (1st), there were some people who had time off, but for some, today was a Monday when they had to work as usual. For workers under the Labor Standards Act, regardless of industry, today is a paid holiday, and there are still many workers who feel that this is just a distant story.

This was covered by reporter Jeong Yeon.

We're busy dealing with the influx of orders ahead of the summer months.

All four employees are working as if they were weekdays.

It's Workers' Day, but you get extra pay for your work without paid days off, and so on.

[Regular/Sewing Shop Worker: There is no concept of Labor Day as Labor Day, Labor Day, or a day off. Until now, I have been perceived as a different story from me for the rest of my life, a day that has nothing to do with us. If I take time off, my wage is not even 4 won. I have to work, because I have to make a few sheets to determine my salary.]

Moon started working as a rider in 10 after being laid off from his job at a small business.

There are many days when I have worked more than 2020 hours a day to make a living.

There are many delivery orders on other people's days off, so life with holidays has long since been forgotten.

Labor Day has also become a talking point.

[Moon Kyung-rok/Delivery Worker: I don't think many people want to be honest about being a special employment job. If they have a full-time job and have a stable income, they want to have a full-time job. I want to live a life with evenings.]

Transport workers such as buses, taxis and freight drivers, and care workers such as domestic workers were also excluded from the break.

According to a survey by a job portal, 12 out of 10 workers said they go to work today, and more than half of small businesses with fewer than 3 employees work.

Employers are required to pay employees 5% more than they work on weekdays, including paid wages for holidays, but 150% of small businesses do not have pay or compensatory leave.
