This is a foldable phone vivo flip released by Chinese manufacturer Vivo on the 20th.

Except for the large external camera and 3-inch display, it resembles the Samsung Galaxy not only in appearance, but also in its flagship color, purple.

Another Chinese company offered a similar flipphone last month.

The Huawei foldable has made it lighter than the Galaxy.

We have also solved the problem of screen wrinkles to some extent due to lack of technology in the past.

Camera technology has also been bolstered, modelling the 2-million-pixel camera installed in the Galaxy S23 Ultra model in February for the first time in three months, and Chinese manufacturer Real Me will launch a similar product early next month.

Chinese smartphones have not yet received much attention in markets outside of China due to their operating systems and copying images.

[Park Hyung-woo/SK Securities Researcher: Since they look similar in external specifications, can it be said that they are of similar quality with similar specifications? I think consumers will recognize the differences in technology over time.]

However, aggressive new product launches are speeding up the chase.

Samsung, which first opened the premium foldable market with advanced display technology, is currently the overwhelming No. 2 with an 3% share of the global foldable phone market.

The foldable phone market is expected to double this year, expanding to 82.1% of the total smartphone market.

As the market grows, so do the entry of competitors.

Google, which shares the same Android operating system, will unveil its own foldable phone in June.

Recently, a product video was leaked online.

To keep up with competitors, it needs another innovation from Samsung.
