Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), said: "DEWA is one of the largest government institutions attracting nationals, and one of the largest government departments in the UAE that is keen to recruit, qualify and develop national cadres. The number of Emirati employees in the authority is 3388,1889 Emiratis in various disciplines and administrative levels, including 587,<> male and female employees working in technical specialties. This number includes <> female Emirati engineers, which supports women's empowerment efforts in the country."

He added: "DEWA's human cadres include 3464,18 young employees between the ages of 35 and 30, representing 9.2149% of the employees. The number of young Emiratis of both sexes in DEWA reaches 19,2 young men and women, representing <>.<>% of DEWA's total number of employees.

Al Tayer stressed that "the wise leadership in the UAE deeply believes in the centrality of the role of youth in achieving comprehensive sustainable development, and the success of the UAE's youth in leading global files and managing international institutions. Thanks to the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the UAE has become a leader in giving special attention to young people, providing them with opportunities and tools

He said: "The first event (Road to COP28), organized by the presidency of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28) and led by young people, reflects the extent of the country's confidence in the people of the UAE, its belief in their competence and energy, and the consolidation of their participation in global events, including the 28th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP28), which the UAE will host at Expo City in Dubai next November."

Providing the young generation with entrepreneurial skills
