Dubai Airports: Providing support and temporary accommodation to Sudanese transit passengers who were unable to complete their flights to Khartoum

Dubai International Airport has received a limited number of Sudanese transit passengers who stopped in Dubai on their way to Khartoum, coming from several destinations, as they were unable to continue their flights due to the exceptional circumstances in Sudan at the present time, which caused airlines to cancel flights to there, in the interest of the safety of passengers and crew, a spokesman for Dubai Airports said.

The spokesman stressed that travelers receive all necessary care, including providing them with temporary accommodation until the appropriate solution is found that guarantees them to return to Khartoum at a later time, or complete their trips to alternative destinations according to their desires.

The spokesman stressed that the safety of passengers and flight crews is an absolute priority that cannot be compromised, and that the developments of the situation in Sudan are being closely monitored to determine the outcome of events during the next few days, noting that airlines had previously announced that transit passengers wishing to continue their flights to Khartoum will not be accepted, given the situation there and the direct threat it poses to the safety of flights.
