flydubai revealed that it has received five new 737 MAX aircraft since the beginning of 2023, expecting to receive a total of 18 aircraft of the same model until the end of the year, compared to 17 new aircraft received in 2022, which is the highest number of aircraft received in one year.

The airline currently operates flights to 116 destinations in 50 countries across Africa, Central Asia, the Caucasus, Central and Southeast Europe, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), the Middle East and the Indian Subcontinent.

Unified fleet

According to the company's data, by the end of last year it operated a combined fleet of 76 Boeing 737 aircraft, including 30 new-generation Boeing 800-737 aircraft, 43 Boeing 737 MAX 8 and three Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft.

The airline was also able to open more than 75 new destinations, which had previously had no direct flights to Dubai, or were not served by a UAE national airline from Dubai. The data showed significant growth in the size of the airline's fleet, which began operations in June 2009 as part of its commitment to remove barriers to travel, facilitate the flow of trade and tourism, and enhance intercultural communication across its ever-growing network.

Since 2008, the airline has placed three orders for aircraft and announced the largest single-aisle aircraft purchase in the region at the 2017 Dubai Airshow.

partnership

In July 2017, Emirates and flydubai announced a wide-ranging partnership, with the two airlines joining forces to offer customers a variety of travel options.

The partnership provides flydubai customers with easy connections to Emirates destinations around the world, spanning six continents, while Emirates customers have access to flydubai's regional network and previously non-connecting destinations.

The innovative partnership goes beyond codeshare flights, providing more flights, easy access to more global destinations, and baggage delivery to the final destination.
