Emirates Airlines plans to operate its double-decker Airbus A380 superjumbo aircraft to more destinations within its global network on six continents, according to its summer schedule, from the beginning of April 2023 until next August.

According to new data released by the airline, the superjumbo is scheduled to be operated to eight additional destinations, including: Casablanca, Bali, Beijing, Shanghai, Nice, Birmingham, Kuala Lumpur and Taipei.

41 destinations

Emirates currently operates its A380 aircraft to 41 destinations around the world, according to the latest data as of yesterday. By the summer, the network of this popular aircraft will expand, serving more destinations, which means that about 90% of its network has been restored to pre-coronavirus levels.

Emirates recently operated the "giant" to Christchurch Airport, resuming daily flights from Dubai to the New Zealand city via Sydney after a hiatus of more than three years. Emirates also announced the resumption of flights of the world's largest aircraft between Dubai and Glasgow, after a three-year hiatus since September 2019. Emirates is the largest operator of Airbus A380 aircraft, with more than 80 aircraft currently in service, and its fleet of these aircraft includes about 116 aircraft.

Aircraft Refurbishment

At the beginning of January 2023, the first fully refurbished Emirates A380 aircraft took off from Dubai International Airport as part of a $120 billion modernization program to modernize <> aircraft in the airline's fleet, where its interior cabins will be completely modernized.

The completely refurbished A380 features Emirates' latest products and interiors in all cabins, including 56 Premium Economy seats on the main floor, and bright new colours in carpets and wall panels.

On the upper floor, the First and Business class seats are decorated with cream leather and light-coloured wood finishes.

A drawing of the Ghaf tree also appears prominently in various interiors, including hand-painted motifs inside the First Class Shower Spa Bath.
