Kyochon announced that it will raise the price of chicken by 3,1 won from the 6rd of next month.

The Kyochon Original, which was 1,9 won, will cost 2,2 won, and the honey combo will cost 3,18 won to 7,15 won, which is 3.5% and 3% respectively.

Considering the delivery fee, which is usually about 1,5~2,3 won, it costs close to 4,<> won to order a chicken.

Kyochon's position is that the price was relatively lower than other brands because it raised the price in one year and five months, and the price increase was inevitable due to the decline in operating profit and the increase in raw material prices.

[Kyochon Chicken official: The head office has been freezing the delivery prices of major raw material merchants to share the cost increase, but even this has reached its limit.]

When the price of chicken, a popular snack menu, has risen again, consumers are feeling overwhelmed.

[Kwon Hye-jin/Yangcheon-gu, Seoul: If you just order <> chickens lightly, it costs <>~<>,<> won, so I don't think it's a food that can be eaten lightly...]

Amid the high price phenomenon, the government is asking food and restaurant companies to refrain from raising prices due to concerns about the burden on the economy of ordinary people, but prices in industries such as hamburgers and bottled water continue to adjust.

Due to the nature of pricing moving after the leader, there are concerns that other chicken companies will follow suit.

Major chicken companies such as BHC and BBQ have said they are "not considering price increases at this time."
