Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed inaugurates AD Ports Group's Digital District. WAM

H.H. Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Office, has inaugurated AD Ports Group's Digital District, a trade and logistics development zone at Mina Zayed.

The inauguration of this area coincides with the start of the implementation of the first phase of the development of the "Digital Marina" project, which is an essential part of the development plan that aims to make "Mina Zayed" a leading destination in providing distinguished services to traders and investors.

The Digital Zone is the first building to be built within the "Digital Marina" project, which extends over an area of 370,20 square meters, with a capacity to accommodate more than 2016,<> innovators, researchers and experts in the fields of commercial digital transformation and logistics development, and the project will host a number of companies supporting the digital transformation of trade, starting with Maqta Gateway Company and the Digital Innovation Lab, which were established in <>.

Otlob Platform

During the visit, Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan was briefed on the operational results of the advanced platform for trade and logistics "Otlob", and some of its proactive services and solutions, which His Highness launched in May 2020 to unify and facilitate the operations of the trade and logistics sector, in addition to linking the marine, air and land sectors and the work system of industrial and economic zones with all regulatory bodies for these economic activities.

Since the launch of the platform, more than 14,94 users have benefited from its services, with a <>% customer satisfaction rate for its digital services.

Ahmed Jassim Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Department of Economic Development in Abu Dhabi, said: "In light of the promising forward-looking vision of our leadership, the Emirate of Abu Dhabi has been able to consolidate its position as a regional and global destination for trade, business and investment, and the business-stimulating system provides solutions to facilitate trade exchange, such as the advanced platform for trade and logistics (Otlob), simplifying procedures, reducing costs, and reducing time, with the aim of providing integrated government services and enhancing capabilities to meet the requirements of increasing trade movement."
