While the joint joint committee is meeting this Wednesday with the aim of establishing a common version of the text of the pension reform, the unions still want to believe in the mobilization and want the movement to continue, even in the event of adoption of the text.

For the eighth time since January 31, the inter-union called on the French to strike and demonstrate against the pension reform.

At the same time, the joint joint committee is meeting this Wednesday and must reach an agreement on a final version of the text which could be adopted the next day.

Resignation is gaining ground in the ranks of opponents of the reform.

However, the unions still believe in it and want the movement to continue even if the text is adopted.

The unions remain mobilized

The union leaders know very well that the adoption of the text can kill the movement.

To face it, they seek to counter the ambient fatalism.

“We have already seen with the experience of the CPE a text voted, but not promulgated under pressure from the street and the population”, affirms Cyril Chabanier, president of the CFTC.

"And even if the text is promulgated, there will be appeals to the Constitutional Council. It is up to us to make it clear that the fight is not lost because the law has been passed and to keep them mobilized", he continues. at the microphone of Europe 1.

In what form should the mobilization continue?

But in this case, if the reform is voted, in what form to continue the mobilization?

This is the puzzle that the intersyndicale may have to solve on Thursday evening.

"We have more and more activists who no longer find themselves in the traditional demonstrations. They have the impression of not having listened. Today, they are looking for, they are offering us alternative actions such as blocking commercial areas, industries, blockages of roundabouts. If the text is adopted, we will see what actions are proposed to us and which ones we can retain", explains the confederal secretary of Force Ouvrière, Patricia Drevon.

But the use of Article 49.3 can change everything.

If the government activates it, it will be able to adopt its reform without going through a vote by the National Assembly.

"A democratic vice", warned Laurent Berger and the ideal way to galvanize the troops and make the movement last.
