flydubai launched flights to Milan-Bergamo Airport, where the airline's flight landed at Milan Bergamo Airport (BGY), and the flight was received by an official delegation representing senior airport officials. With the airline's five-weekly flights to Bergamo Milan, flydubai's network is growing to four destinations including Catania, Naples and Pisa, as well as Milan Bergamo.

Flights to the city will start from 10 March, increasing to a daily flight from 18 April, and will operate from Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport (DXB), where they will be codeshare flights with Emirates, allowing passengers to continue their flights seamlessly through the International Aviation Centre in Dubai.

Bergamo, a historic city in northern Italy, was chosen as the European Capital of Culture for 2023, in recognition of the city's vibrant cultural scene, hosting for the whole year numerous exhibitions, concerts, performances and other events highlighting contemporary art, heritage and creativity. Milan Bergamo Airport offers passengers easy access to the city with various transport options, including buses, trains and private transport.

Commenting on the launch, Jeyhun Efendi, Senior Vice President Commercial Operations and E-Commerce at flydubai, said: "We look forward to increasing the number of flights to the market to accommodate the growing demand for travel this summer. Travelers can enjoy the convenience of travelling to Dubai, as well as explore popular holiday destinations including the Maldives, Sri Lanka and Thailand. Our flights will be operated by our fleet of Boeing 737 MAX aircraft featuring a flat seat in Business Class and extra comfort in Economy Class."

Flights from Dubai International Airport Terminal 3 to Milan Bergamo will operate five times a week, increasing to seven flights a week from 18 April 2023.
