2,217 million
euros this year
as dividends from the company, above the 1,718 million euros he received for this concept last year.
In total, the company will reward its shareholders this year with more than 3,730 million euros,
after raising the dividend by 29%,
up to 1.2 euros per share.
Specifically, Inditex's dividend policy consists of an ordinary 'payout' of 60% of the profit and the additional distribution of extraordinary dividends.
For the 2022 financial year, the board of directors will propose to the general shareholders' meeting a 29% increase in the dividend up to 1.2 euros per share, made up of an ordinary dividend of 0.796 euros and an extraordinary dividend of 0.404 euros per share.
The dividend is made up of two equal payments: on May 2, 2023 a payment of 0.60 euros per share, corresponding to the ordinary dividend and on November 2, 2023 a payment of 0.60 euros per share (0.196 ordinary euros plus 0.404 euros extraordinary), according to Europa Press.
The founder of Inditex, who
controls 59.294% of the company,
equivalent to a package of 1,848 million shares, invests part of the dividends he receives from Inditex in the real estate sector.
Marta Ortega's salary
The non-executive president of the Spanish textile multinational Inditex,
Marta Ortega,
will maintain for the year 2023 the same salary accrued in 2022, which amounts to
one million euros gross per year,
according to the latest report on remuneration in the group.
Marta Ortega will receive a fixed annual amount of 900,000 euros and an additional 100,000 euros as a member of the Board of Directors.
Regarding the remuneration of the CEO,
Oscar García Maceiras, his annual fixed amount of

Regarding the remuneration for the former executive president
Pablo Isla,
the report details that he has received or will accrue the sum of almost
25.8 million
euros for the 2022 academic year (February 1 to March 31), an amount that includes the compensation of almost 23 million.
To this amount are added almost 10 million received by Isla on account of the 2021 financial year, apart from the bonus for the remuneration system based on shares or financial instruments (1,417 million) and savings systems.
The Inditex Board of Directors approved, at its meeting on March 14 and for the years 2024, 2025 and 2026, a new long-term incentive plan in cash and shares aimed at members of the management team, including executive directors, and other group employees.
The remuneration of executive directors is therefore made up of different remuneration elements that basically consist of a fixed remuneration, a short-term or annual variable remuneration and a long-term or multi-year variable remuneration.
A part of that long-term variable remuneration will be granted and delivered in shares.
In fact, the current CEO has assumed the commitment to retain, for a period of
