In this year's spring labor offensive, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries decided to raise wages by 14,000 yen per month as requested by the union as an equivalent to raising base salaries.

It will be the first time in 49 years that the full amount will be answered.

The labor unions of major machine manufacturers are demanding a monthly wage of 14,000 yen, which is four times as much as last year's request, as a base pay increase.

Of these, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries decided on the 15th to respond to the union side with the full amount as requested.

It will be the first time in 49 years since 1974 that the full amount has been answered.

Due to the response to record price rises, etc., it will be about 7% wage increase on an annual income basis, including regular salary increases and lump sum payments.

Among major machine manufacturers, IHI has also informed the labor union of its policy of fully responding to the monthly salary of 14,000 yen, which is equivalent to the base pay increase for the first time in 49 years.
