The Tax Agency has a new code of ethics that establishes that Treasury inspectors, as well as all agency workers, must "

be governed by honesty

".

It is the principle of integrity on which this document is based, which in this same sense also establishes that the employees of the institution directed by Soledad Fernández must not accept gifts, they cannot treat family members or friends favorably and must report any attempt of bribery.

"The staff of the

Agency will not admit

no favor treatment

or situation that implies privilege or unjustified advantage for himself or for his family or social environment.

Nor will he accept

no gift

nor attention that goes beyond the usual, social and courtesy uses, “says the text.

«He will formally communicate to his superiors, immediately,

any offer of gift, favor or compensation

of any kind or incitement to bribery", continues the document, which also prohibits "the expediting or resolution of administrative procedures or procedures".

The code, whose approval and implementation has recently been transmitted by the Tax Agency, will serve as a reference for the Ethics Advisory Committee, which in turn is an "advisory and advisory" body both for inspectors and for the management of Tax authorities.

Its creation is part of the 2020-2023 strategic plan, and also establishes that

citizens must be "at the permanent center of their attention"

.

That is, they must work for the citizens and they must be given all possible facilities.

Workers also have to act "subject to the principles of

loyalty and good faith

with the Tax Agency, as well as with their superiors, colleagues and collaborators”.

It also addresses the need to treat taxpayer data in a «

confidential

», and even establishes that when an inspector, for example, pronounces himself in the media or even on social networks, «he will expressly make it clear if these are opinions issued in an exclusively personal capacity, if they are issued in representation of the personal or if it is about opinions that bind the Tax Agency”.

Reference number for rent

On the other hand, the Agency opened yesterday the term for the

obtaining the reference number

for the 2022 rental campaign, which will allow all its services to be carried out.

“The reference number you would have previously obtained is no longer valid, so you must obtain a new one.

The box to enter to obtain the reference number is 505 of the 2021 income statement, “says the agency dependent on the Treasury on its website.

The number can be obtained through the Agency's application or through that same page, and the agency reminds that it is also possible to register in Cl@ve to access the same services without having to obtain the reference number.

The rental campaign will begin on April 11

for online presentations, that is, in just one month, and it will last until June 30.

As of May 5, the period to carry it out by telephone will begin and from June 1 it will be possible to do it in person at the Agency's offices.
