After a weak start, European stock markets have turned into positive territory: cautious optimism prevails, waiting for the statements of the number one of the Federal Reserve, Jerome Powell, this evening in the US Congress.

Milan is up 0.17% in line with Frankfurt, while Paris and London snatch more than a quarter of a point.

The banking sector is weak at Piazza Affari, with the exception of Mediolanum (+1.48%) and some other financial stocks that are not very moved. On the FTSE Mib by far the heaviest is Tim (-1.16%) waiting for news on the single network after the move by CDP. On the other hand, Amplifon performed well (+2.48%).

Second day of subscription for the new five-year BTP Italia: 1.13 billion in the morning, after yesterday's record of 3.6 billion placed.
