Mini World Lyon, the largest animated miniature park in France, opened since June 2016 within the Carré de Soie leisure center in Vaulx-en-Velin, has just been placed in safeguard procedure by the Commercial Court of Lyon.
In a statement, the company, which operates a second park in Toulon (Var), said that this procedure will allow it to "preserve its cash flow, put to the test by the long health crisis". Despite a resumption of activity with "pre-Covid-19 attendance figures", the company must repay "a bank debt accentuated by loans guaranteed by the State". The procedure will then allow him to obtain a "rescheduling" of these refunds.
Despite this difficult period, the park will remain open. In Lyon, a new exhibition on Jurassic Park will be available from April. And on the Côte d'Azur, a "Geek expo" project is being prepared. "Mini World has not finished amazing young and old," promises the company.
