Emirates and Philippine Airlines have signed an Interline agreement to enhance connectivity for passengers of both airlines to new points on their networks via Manila and Dubai, using a single ticket and a single baggage policy.

Emirates said in a statement yesterday that the Interline partnership, which is now in effect, allows its passengers to access 19 destinations in the Philippines operated by Philippine Airlines, including Cebu, Cagayan de Oro, Bacolod, Cotabato, Davao, Iloilo, Kalibu and others, in addition to two Asian regional points via Manila.

Philippine Airlines passengers also benefit from access to Emirates' global network and seamless connectivity to 21 cities served by Emirates in Europe, such as London, Rome, Frankfurt, Barcelona and Paris, and in the Middle East such as Kuwait, Jeddah and other points in Africa.

Travel plans can be booked on the emirates.com and philippineairlines.com websites, Emirates and PAL mobile apps or via online travel agents and authorised agents.

Adnan Kazim, Chief Commercial Officer of Emirates Airline, said: "The Philippines is one of our strong markets and we are delighted to sign an Interline agreement with the national carrier of that country.

"This partnership with Philippine Airlines is helping to open new trade and tourism routes and expand Emirates' presence in East Asia."
