The Federal Tax Authority has identified "key points of contact" between it and SMEs, within the "Mowafaq" package it provides, in cooperation with tax agents to support these companies in accounting and at the auditing level.

A tax agent was identified for each group of companies as the main point of contact between them and the Federal Tax Authority, and these companies were required to provide the agent with contact details.

The Authority addressed a selected group of companies in e-mails, a copy of which was seen by Emirates Today, stating that "the Federal Tax Authority is pleased to inform you that you are eligible for the "Mowafaq" package, and that you have been automatically registered in the service without additional costs."

The Authority added that the "Mowafaq" package is designed to enhance compliance with tax laws and procedures among SMEs, as well as facilitate doing business for companies, and offer a range of privileges that specifically meet the needs of SMEs.

The Authority pointed out that «the (Mowafaq) package allows you to benefit from your services on time, including tax registration, submission of tax returns, payment, provision of audit requirements, and other services».

The Authority indicated that the privileges provided by the "package" include: providing relationship managers for small and medium enterprises, tax accounting programs at a competitive cost, in addition to privileges that will be announced later.
