On the same day, the "2022 Annual Assessment Report on the Development Environment of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises" was released.

Shenzhen, Shanghai, and Nanjing were selected as the top three in the comprehensive ranking of the development environment of China's small and medium-sized enterprises in 2022.

  The evaluation results show that among the 36 participating cities, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Nanjing, Guangzhou, Beijing, Hangzhou, Xiamen, Ningbo, Changsha and Qingdao rank among the top ten.

  It is understood that since 2019, the China Small and Medium Enterprise Development Promotion Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has carried out assessments from the five first-level indicators of market, rule of law, financing, innovation, and policy for four consecutive years, and selected 4 municipalities directly under the Central Government and 5 plans separately City and 27 provincial capital cities, a total of 36 typical cities as evaluation objects.

On February 21, the Second National Forum on the Development Environment of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises opened in Shenzhen, and the "2022 Assessment Report on the Development Environment of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises" was released.

  Judging from the evaluation results of various first-level indicators, among the 36 participating cities, Shenzhen's market environment and legal environment rank first, and its financing environment ranks second.

Beijing ranks first in the evaluation of innovation environment in terms of innovation carrier, human resources, innovation input, and achievement output.

Shanghai took the lead in the evaluation of financing and policy environment.

  According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, from January to November 2022, the number, operating income, and total profit of industrial SMEs above designated size will increase by 10.5%, 6.0%, and 0.3% year-on-year respectively. The development of SMEs in China has shown strong resilience and vitality.

  The quality of the development of Chinese SMEs has also been continuously improved.

According to reports, as of the end of 2022, specialized, special and new SMEs have accounted for 27% of the total number of A-share listed companies, accounting for 59% of the number of newly listed companies last year.

Among the companies newly listed on the Science and Technology Innovation Board, 72% of them are profitable companies.

  With the adjustment of the epidemic prevention and control policy in 2023, service-oriented small and medium-sized enterprises with a large volume and a wide range will also usher in opportunities for vigorous development.
