Data from the Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) showed that Dubai's hotel market witnessed the opening of 2550,2022 five-star luxury hotel rooms in 212, with an average of more than <> hotel rooms per month.

According to data, a copy of which was obtained by Emirates Today, the total number of luxury hotel rooms in Dubai increased from 47,35 rooms at the end of 2021 to 49,585 rooms at the end of 2022.
The data indicated that the number of luxury hotel establishments of the "five-star" category increased from 143 establishments at the end of 2021 to 151 establishments at the end of 2022, with an average of eight luxury hotel establishments entering the hotel market in the Emirate of Dubai.
DoH data showed that despite the entry of 2550,61 new luxury hotel rooms into the market, the occupancy rate of these rooms increased from 2021% in 70 to 2022% in 19, pointing out that Dubai continued to expand its hotel market significantly, despite the repercussions of the Covid-<> pandemic.
In addition, the number of hotel rooms in Dubai at the end of November 2022 reached more than 146,804 hotel rooms, within 138 hotel establishments, compared to 755,2021 hotel rooms within <> properties at the end of <>.
International Visitors
Dubai's Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) revealed an increase in the number of international visitors to Dubai last year, with the emirate welcoming 14.36 million international visitors from January to December 2022, an increase of 97%, compared to the same period in 2021, during which the city welcomed 7.28 million visitors, outpacing the recovery levels of the global and regional tourism sector.
Hotel occupancy
Dubai's hotel sector, which is a key part of the growth of the emirate's tourism sector, continued its strong performance, with high growth rates across all hospitality categories and standards.
Average occupancy of hotel rooms was 73% from January to December 2022, one of the highest in the world, compared to 67% recorded in 2021, approaching 2019 levels, which recorded an average hotel occupancy of 75%.
